Hi, I am Courtney Lander a registered clinical psychologist (BScHons, MPsych) with experience in not-for-profit and private sectors. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Western Australia and my Masters of Clinical Psychology at Curtin University. I offer evidence-based, person-centred psychological treatment and have experience working with a range of mental health difficulties.
I have experience working with adults across all life stages. My aim is to help you develop the skills to navigate any challenges you may be facing. My approach focuses on providing a supportive environment where we can work together at a pace that feels safe and acceptable to you. Whether you are seeking relief from a specific issue or striving for overall mental well-being, I'm here to accompany and guide you on your mental health journey.
I utilise a variety of proven therapeutic techniques, including schema therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices. By integrating insights from different psychological approaches, my goal is to create a truly person-centred approach to assist my clients in developing greater insight into themselves and their relationships.
I have experience utilising evidence-based treatments to address a range of mental health difficulties including:
Depression can make us feel hopeless and like there is no point, but there are many evidence-based approaches we can use to alleviate your symptoms and help you feel like yourself again.
Anxiety comes in many forms, you may be experiencing lots of worry, anxiety in social situations, have a specific phobia or have obsessive-compulsive disorder. I can help you understand what is driving the anxiety you are experiencing and how to overcome it.
Chronic pain can significantly decrease our quality of life. All pain is real, but not all pain is dangerous. Psychology can help you understand the pain you experience and manage the pain in a way that allows you to continue to live in a way that is meaningful to you.
Whether you are going through a life transition or stressful situation, with your family, workplace, relationships, study or health psychological intervention can help you cope and find balance again.
Traumatic experiences can have a significant impact on our daily functioning, sense of self and sense of safety. I can help you to navigate this difficult time and overcome the challenges you have had to endure.
